September 9, 2017

Dear Clubs

Firstly, I would like to congratulate all of the West Clubs for their participation during the SJCF during the past few weeks. There were some remarkable team and individual performances.  I would also like to say a sincere ‘well done’ to those club coaches and managers, together with a number of parents, who spent days on end either umpiring, scoring, or just herding the players together for their respective matches.
Secondly, please note that the 2017 AGM of the West Area Cricket Association will be held at Middleton Sports Club on Tuesday 24th October 2017.  I should be grateful if you would do your best to ensure that your Club is represented.
Thirdly, I should be grateful if the winners of the Leagues last year (2016) could return their trophies, cups or shields to Andy Dye of Aford Awards, C&M Trophies in Littlehampton by Friday 29th September.  Andy has agreed to collect the Trophies until notified of the 2017 winners.  In doing so , please could you e mail me,, telling me the name of the trophy and the competition in respect of which it was awarded.

Level 2 Sports Course (OCR Cambridge Technical) – 16 to 18

August 8, 2016
Dear League,
Please could you circulate the attached flyer and details below to any 16-18 year olds at your league clubs, any parents or contacts you may have. This is to promote the Sussex Cricket Foundation Academy which is launching in September giving 16-18 year olds the chance to study through sport.
This is an exciting opportunity for 16-18 year olds to study an educational qualification in a professional sporting environment, including access to state of the art professional sporting facilities, used by the pros themselves. Based at the 1st Central County Ground in Hove, this is a unique opportunity to develop your skills and build on the experience you already have to progress your career within the sports industry. This is a one year full-time multi-sports course that will be incorporating regular cricket, football, volleyball, badminton and squash activity sessions.
