Middleton’s U9 Festival

August 8, 2018

On Sunday 5th August  Findon, Chichester, Pagham and Bosham  joined Middleton for a morning of u9s cricket.  Congratulations to Bosham who entered their first junior team for several years.

For many of these young players it was their first experience playing ‘competitive’ matches and their enthusiasm and skills paid off, with most teams winning at least one game. The festival decider was played between Middleton and Chichester. The game could have gone either way. Chichester were hitting 4s and 6s in the final overs, but some great team work from Middleton won them the match.

The highest scoring partnership of the morning was between Fred Clements and Todd Trundle from Chichester who scored 54 runs in two 8 ball overs.

The highest wicket taking partnerships were Liam Gaughan & Joshua Pollock, and Ollie Osbourne & Joshua Pollock, all from Middleton. Both pairs took 4 wickets in two overs.
