Level 2 Sports Course (OCR Cambridge Technical) – 16 to 18

August 8, 2016
Dear League,
Please could you circulate the attached flyer and details below to any 16-18 year olds at your league clubs, any parents or contacts you may have. This is to promote the Sussex Cricket Foundation Academy which is launching in September giving 16-18 year olds the chance to study through sport.
This is an exciting opportunity for 16-18 year olds to study an educational qualification in a professional sporting environment, including access to state of the art professional sporting facilities, used by the pros themselves. Based at the 1st Central County Ground in Hove, this is a unique opportunity to develop your skills and build on the experience you already have to progress your career within the sports industry. This is a one year full-time multi-sports course that will be incorporating regular cricket, football, volleyball, badminton and squash activity sessions.

West Area nominations 2016/17

July 19, 2016

Nominations are now open for all young players between the ages of U8 and U15 (based on next summers age groups) A player must be nomination formally through the relevant nomination forms, which must be sent back to me, either by post, email or via the online nomination form

There is a strict closing date of Friday 19th August and this will be the final point at which nominations will be accepted. Trials details will then be sent out directly to those children nominated

Selections will then be made and those successful, will be invited to the pre-Xmas 9-week coaching programme at Littlehampton Academy. After Xmas, once the County squads have been finalised the final West Area side will be selected and these successful players will be offered a further 9-week programme of coaching and a place in the summer playing squad for the Western Warriors. This is for the U10 and U11 sides

For the U12 players upwards, the process is the same up to Xmas, but then the U12/13 boys are combined with the North Area boys to create one “Spartans” side and the same happens with the U14/15 players

For any further information or questions please contact me directly at
